DEFENSE BASE ACT (DBA) INSURANCE
Program underwritten by an "A" or better A.M. Best rated carrier.
WHAT IS DBA INSURANCE?
The DBA requires employers (including contractors and subcontractors) to secure insurance for the payment of workers' compensation benefits provided under the Act. Subcontractors who fail to secure payment of compensation will be liable and will be required to secure the payment of such benefits.
WHAT DBA INSURANCE COVERS
Defense Base Act Insurance acts in a similar way to state specific Workers Compensation Insurance. It covers employee injuries with medical and indemnity (% of lost wage) benefits and death benefits in the case of an employee's death.
